Quilt Doodle Doodle Quilt Along

I was so glad to finish up the light blocks strip for my Quilt Doodle Quilt along.  But now I think I may sew some more light block strips to border the other 3 sides!

Cindy's last free pattern for this quilt along is the borders and some embellishments (like snow for the roof and chimney, a wreath for the door, a snowman and deer for the yard-- cute stuff).  You can find it all here.

I'm not sure if I want to do more work with the embellishments but I did add some embroidery to the heart on the roof, the door, and even a little Christmas tree in the window.

Cindy hosted such a great quilt along -- I looked forward to the 1st of every month to see what the next block would be.  It's hard to believe it's been nearly a whole year since it began.
