Simply Striped Pillow Blog Hop

Did you hear about the Simply Striped Pillow Blog Hop?

Susie from Susie's Sunroom is Hosting this Hop to celebrate her first published pillow pattern on Craftsy!  I'm guest posting there today, so stop by Susie's to find out more about my shamrock pillow made using Susie's pattern.

But wait for just a minute while I tell you about some giveaways!
Susie is offering her Simply Striped Pillow Pattern free to one lucky participant here on my blog (and she also has some drawings on some of the other blogs).  So leave a comment telling me if you've ever sewn a pillow or if you want to sew a pillow!

And I'm also having a give away!
Did you see the cute cards made with scraps by Amanda Jean at Crazy Mom Quilts?  I also found some cute ideas here at U Create.

Since I'm also trying to use up scraps lately, I made this set of Scrappy Greeting Cards just for one of you!  For a chance to win, leave a second comment telling me what you do with your scraps.

Stop back late on Saturday or Sunday for the random drawing results.

Don't miss out seeing all the creativity with Susie's pattern by visiting all the participating bloggers.  Here's the schedule:

you are so talented. I love your pillow and I thought the black and green shamrock looked really good too.

Yes, I made some pillows YEARS ago. They really need to be replaced and some new modern fabric used.

My scraps just stay in a box piled up. I really need to use them for a scrap quilt. But I LOVE the idea of cards! Thank you!

Hi Sheri! I'm your fellow hopper! LOVE your sweet Shamrock St. Patrick's Pillow and table topper! I sure hope you can find your other wonderful missing blocks. They'll show up someday where you least expect them.
Your scrappy kaleidoscope is wonderful too! I made my pillow for Susi's hop from scraps.

I make scrap quilts, little bags, and just this week made 3 little mats for kitties waiting for their forever home at our local Humane Society.

Oops I've done this in reverse order, so for the pillow pattern giveaway, I will tell you that I have made LOTS of pillows, but I should make more, as I love them so much, and it would be fun to change them out more often! Love your Shamrock pillow. :-)

My scraps get used when I want to experiment with an idea or test out a quilt block. When I have accumulated enough blocks, they get put into a sampler quilt. I love scraps! -- soparkaveataoldotcom

I've made a lot of pillowcases, but no pillows. I'd like to try making some throw pillows for the sofa. -- soparkaveataoldotcom

I made a pillow years ago in a quilting class. It had individual petals that I sewed on by hand and a fairly large circle of fabric in the center of the pillow, which ended up looking like a 3 dimensional flower. I tucked it away for safe keeping and can't find it anywhere!
