Eagle Medallion Quilt Progress

This project is sort of like figuring out a puzzle since I'm designing and writing and testing the pattern as I go.  Don't worry about that lower border not lining up correctly, it's not sewn on or even cut yet.

It's very exciting figuring out what the next section will look like.  I modeled the center medallion after a quilt I saw on Amish Country Quilts but wanted the setting triangles to be more interesting but hope it's not getting too busy.  My daughter doesn't like the yellow but it can be a symbol of hope, remembrance, peace, and honor.  I do love the look of the mitered red and white stripes at the corners.  What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by!

I like the yellow. I agree. It is a good color that belongs on this quilt. Well done!

Great progress on the quilt Sheri!
I visited the Amish quilt, and I love your version with the addition of the yellow!
It sits nicely with your brighter colours!
