Winter Blues Blog Hop and More!

I'm so happy to join a fabulous group of quilters for the Winter Blues Blog Hop.

What could be nicer than joining in on the Winter Blues Blog Hop?   Completing your Winter Blues table topper AND looking at your topper, out your window, onto a Winter Blues Wonderland!

Close up of snowflake and swirls quilting on completed topper (still need to bind)

Star Burst Tutorial from the Missouri Star Quilt Company  Basically take two 10" squares (background and a color), place right sides together, sew around the perimeter, slice in half diagonally twice, to get four half square triangles. I made 100 HSTs (25 for each quadrant).   Mine turns out to be about 56" square.

Hi Sheri! What a fabulous collection of blue quilts! Your table topper looks really pretty, and that picture looking out at the snowscape bring it all home. I am especially fond of the photo showing how you quilted this topper. The swirls just give it such nice movement - I can hear the wind a whistling - and the snowflakes are a perfect addition. Thanks so much for sharing with us today. ~smile~ Roseanne

Well that collection of blues is amazing. Love them all. That snowflake in the quilting is such a wonderful addition to an already great piece.

The quilt is beautiful. I've thought about doing that tutorial, and you may have just pushed me into it! I could be done as a leader-ender, and that's appealing. All of your blue quilts are beautiful, but I'm blown away by your painting. I admire anyone who can draw and paint and have something that looks like what it's meant to be. That is a wonderful painting, and one I'd pay money to own. I think you are so blessed with talent!

Oh my goodness, it looks cold outside! Your tablecloth is beautiful! It looks like the complicated Lone Star pattern, but when you said HST I looked again and thought, that's something I could do! I just might give this one a try. SO beautiful! Thanks for sharing.
